Restructuring & Optimizing RSUs

I devised a strategy of restructuring a private equity client’s RSUs into hybrid units upon his being transferred to a different tax jurisdiction (hybrids are a vehicle which I invented that combine capped RSUs with stock options). This resulted in the client saving over $25,000,000 in taxes on eventual payout when the business was sold and his employment terminated.
